BLESSING OF PRAYER BLANKETS

September 29th and 30th

The Saint Agnes Altar Society will have “Prayer Blankets” on the Altar rail to be blessed at all Masses next weekend,
September 29th and 30th. Please participate by coming forward after Mass and laying your hands on the blankets and say a prayer of healing for those who will receive them. The blankets are created for anyone who is physically ill, emotionally or spiritually not well.

To request a blanket please call Lucy Pittman (733-9785), Janis Romig (301-9205) or Rectory, or by signing your name and phone number in the notebook at the end of the altar rail. Someone will call you.


BLESSED SEELOS HEALING MASS & ANOINTING OF THE SICK

Sunday, October 7, 2018, at 1:00pm

St. Mary’s Assumption Church (corner of Josephine & Constance Street)

There will be one-on-one intercessory prayer in the shrine starting at 11:45am and confessions before Mass.
Homilist and Celebrant will be Fr. Kevin Zubel, C.Ss.R.
The gift shop will be opened before and after the Healing Mass.

ST. AGNES MEN’S CLUB

The St. Agnes Men’s Club members include grandfathers, fathers, uncles, brothers, sons and friends of St. Agnes parish! They have a long tradition of service to the St. Agnes community and play a vital role to serve and support the activities of the Parish including the parish donut breakfasts, Lenten Seafood Dinners to the public, Brunch, Christmas Party, etc. They will start meeting again in August on the Third Thursday of the month.

USHER SOCIETY NEEDS YOU

St. Agnes Usher Society is in need of some new members to help with this special ministry. Ushers extend a warm welcome to people as they arrive at church, assist with seating, collect the offerings from the assembly, direct the Presentation of Gifts Procession, and distribute the weekly parish bulletin and Clarion Herald after Mass. Men, women and mature youth of the Parish are eligible to serve as ushers. Call the rectory office at 504-833-3366 if you would like to join this very special ministry. We would love for you to get involved!

ALTAR SERVERS

St. Agnes is recruiting Altar Servers. If your sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters are in Grades 3 through High School and are interested in becoming an Altar Server, please encourage them to get involved in this wonderful ministry. It is a good ministry to help them gain their self-confidence to appear in public. Applications can be picked up on the tables at all of the Church exits, or call the rectory office.
