MEN'S CLUB EVENTS
Well, the Lenten Fish Fry's are in full swing. The next Fish Fry will be held on Friday, March 24th at 5:00pm.
In the meantime our Men's Club is always looking for new members from our parish. Please consider joining this wonderful ministry. Their next meeting is this coming Thursday, March 17th at 6:30pm. See you there!
ABBEY YOUTH FEST
MARCH 25, 2017
Abbey Youth Fest (AYF), the largest youth event within the Archdiocese of New Orleans, will be held on the grounds of Saint Joseph Abbey. This event is open to teens and young adults ages 13 or older. Its focus is evangelization and vocational discernment. Come be a part of a remarkable day filled with music, prayer, catechesis, fellowship, and FUN! Information and online registration can be found at www.abbeyyouthfest.com. Registration is $40 per person.

A 50 year reunion for the class of 1967 is planned for March 25th in the Marquette Center at St. Agnes.

10th Annual Weekend of Prayer

Our Mission Speaker is Fr. Tom Donaldson, A Catholic priest and member of the Redemptorist Congregation. The early years of his priesthood were spent as a parish associate. Then 12 years were spent giving parish missions, as well as retreats for priests, deacons, and religious. The years following he was a Pastor in two different parishes that are staffed by his Redemptorist community.
Fr. Tom continues giving retreats/parish missions around the country and has been a guest speaker for various organizations and seminars. He has a Masters Degree in Addiction Studies/Counseling and is active in working with people who are dealing with addiction issues and the process of recovery.
Fr. Tom resides at St. Michael's parish in Chicago's historic "Old Town" along with his Redemptorist Community.
A Time of Hope
Loving God, we ask you to pour out your Holy Spirit upon all of us as we prepare for our parish mission. Create in each one of us a desire to return to you and be renewed during this Time of Hope. Lord in our desire for what you promise make our parish of St. Agnes one in mind and heart. Guide each of us as we prepare ourselves to celebrate this special time in the life of our community. May the faith that gathers us, the love that sustains, continue to give birth to this Time of Hope. We ask all of this through Jesus Christ who is the source of our Hope and who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen
The Altar Society will host a Crochet/Sewing Gathering on Saturday, April 1st at 12:00Noon in the Marquette Activity Center. The purpose of this gathering is to make prayer blankets. All parishioners are invited to join. Refreshments will be served. A basket will be placed in back of church if anyone has any extra fabric, yarn, thread, etc. they would like to donate, please drop it off in the basket or you can bring it to the rectory office.

Parish Council meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month and meet August through May in the Rectory meeting room. Candidates should be practicing Catholics of St. Agnes Parish who possess a sincere interest in the growth and development of the parish. Duties include representation for and communication with the parish organizations that fall under their committee.

Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Philip Neri Church, in Metairie.
PLEASE NOTE: This celebration will not be a Mass, but a Prayer Service.
Attendance of Mass for Sunday obligation will have to be met within one's Parish.

OUR ST. VINCENT De PAUL FOOD BANK NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!!
As we get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is that time again to help St. Agnes' St. Vincent de Paul Society refurbish their food bank. In order to help those in need, they will need to fill their food bank back up. Any help you can give them with non-perishable foods or even monetary donations so that they can purchase the foods, please do so. There is a bin in back of church where you can drop off your non-perishables. Monetary donations can be dropped off in the collection basket. Thanks again for your help!
