ST. AGNES FIRST COMMUNION
Our St. Agnes CCD students will make their First Holy Communion on Sunday, May 7th at 11:00am Mass. The parish May Crowning will take place during the Mass. A reception will follow in the Marquette Activity Center for the Communion Candidates and their Families. Please keep our First Communion children in your prayers.

ALTAR SERVER OF THE YEAR
Haley has been selected as the 2017 Altar Server of the
Year. Haley is a very devoted Altar Server. She is being
honored this coming Wednesday, April 26th at 5:30 p.m. at
St. Rita Church in New Orleans where Archbishop Gregory
Aymond will celebrate a special Mass, and awards will be
given to all of the Outstanding Altar Servers from all
parishes of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
Congratulations to Hayley Tingler for a job well done!!

If you would like to nominate someone for any of these positions please contact the Rectory Office by April 1st. Parish Council meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month and meet August through May in the Rectory meeting room. Candidates should be practicing Catholics of St. Agnes Parish who possess a sincere interest in the growth and development of the parish. Duties include representation for and communication with the parish organizations that fall under their committee.

GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Are You Celebrating Your Golden Wedding Anniversary This Year??
The Archdiocesan Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration will take place on
Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Philip Neri Church, in Metairie.
PLEASE NOTE: This celebration will not be a Mass, but a Prayer Service.
Attendance of Mass for Sunday obligation will have to be met within one's Parish.

All participants must register through your church parish.

OUR ST. VINCENT De PAUL FOOD BANK NEEDS YOUR HELP!!!!
As we get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is that time again to help St. Agnes' St. Vincent de Paul Society refurbish their food bank. In order to help those in need, they will need to fill their food bank back up. Any help you can give them with non-perishable foods or even monetary donations so that they can purchase the foods, please do so. There is a bin in back of church where you can drop off your non-perishables. Monetary donations can be dropped off in the collection basket. Thanks again for your help!
