Eucharistic Ministers

BRENDA MILLER is the coordinator of the St. Agnes Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion,
whose primary focus is to assist our Pastor in the distribution of Holy Communion. This viable ministry,
active since the 70s, is made up of numerous dedicated men and women whose duties include the following:
assisting at all weekend and weekday masses, visiting and bringing Communion to our home-bound
parishioners and to Catholic Christian patients at Ochsner Foundation Hospital on a daily basis.

This ministry also reaches out to address the spiritual needs of the residents
at the Jefferson Healthcare Nursing Home by providing the Eucharist once a week
and assisting with a once-a month liturgical celebration at the home.
