St. Agnes Mission Statement

St. Agnes Parish strives to be a GOD centered Catholic Community,serving the needs of its people through active love, devotion and prayer. We strive to bring the kingdom to all in harmony, nurturing and extending family values united in celebrating Christ's love.By seeking God's will, embody His love, recognizing our individual talents, determining to evangelize and giving good example.

 



O glorious St. Agnes, you served God in humility and confidence on earth and are now in the enjoyment of His Beatific Vision in heaven because you persevered till death and gained the crown of eternal life. Remember now the dangers that surround me in the vale of tears, and intercede for me in my needs and troubles. Amen. St. Agnes' Feast Day is January 21st
Saturday Vigil: 4:00 p.m.
Sunday: 8:00 a.m.; 9:30 a.m. & 11:00 a.m.
Weekdays: 8:00 a.m.

Confessions: Saturday 3:00 - 3:45 p.m.
Weekdays: Any time by request.

Novena: Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Tuesdays at 7pm with communion service.


















LENTEN SCHEDULE


LENTEN WEEKDAY MASS TIMES

Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. & 12:00 noon
Saturdays: 8:00 a.m.
The Way of the Cross will follow the noon Mass during the week and also every Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.


LENTEN RULES

All Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence, no meat

Abstinence: Catholics 14 years of age and older are to refrain from eating meat on all Fridays during Lent.

Fasting: Only one full meal is permitted on Good Friday for Catholics between 18 and 59. Two smaller meals are permitted, but together they should not equal a second full meal.

HOLY THURSDAY - March 28, 2024 - OFFICE CLOSED at 12:00 NOON: Mass of the Lord’s Supper and Washing of Feet, 7:00pm. Celebrant: Fr. Tom McCann; No morning Masses - Adoration of the Holy Eucharist in the Repository from 8-10pm

GOOD FRIDAY - March 29, 2024 - OFFICE CLOSED: Day of Fast and Abstinence. NO 12:00 NOON MASS AND WAY OF THE CROSS; 3:00pm Solemn commemoration of the Passion and Death of Our Lord with Veneration of the Cross by everyone. Holy Communion will be distributed. Celebrant: Fr. Bac-Hai Tran; Way of the Cross at 7:00pm. The Good Friday Collection taken up in all churches is for the Holy Places and the faithful living in the Holy Land

HOLY SATURDAY - March 30, 2024: Vigil Mass: at 8:00 p.m. Celebrant: Fr. Bac-Hai Viet Tran. No Mass in the morning. No Confessions. No 4:00pm Vigil Mass

EASTER SUNDAY - March 31, 2024: Masses: 8:00am, 9:30am & 11:00am

How was your week? Hopefully the good weather has cheered you up these last few days. I was away for a wedding two weeks ago and guess what, even in Florida it was cold. There are a lot of people in Florida now and talk about traffic. It was crazy. If you complain about traffic in New Orleans, you should go to Florida and see what happens. Even my friend who picked me up from the airport who has travel technology to notify him of all the traffic problems could not avoid the traffic. I was not up to date on this technology, but when I see my friend using this new type of GPS for traffic information, I was shocked. It told us everything that we could avoid, even the police.
